African-American Art from the Petrucci Family Foundation Collection. Opening Reception: Sunday, February 10, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The exhibit brings together paintings, sculpture, prints, and drawings by prominent African-American artists of the past and present; the art confront the legacy of slavery while celebrating the beauty, compassion, strength, and persistent culture of African-Americans. The works are on loan from the Petrucci Family Foundation (PFF), founded in 2006. The foundation’s mission is to support education and create opportunity for Americans at every stage of and station of life. The PFF Collection is a targeted initiative to bring focus to the full range of African-American visual creativity and its essential place in the history and discourse of American art.
