The Orange County Airport is a public use, general aviation airport. It is located five miles northeast of the Town of Orange on State Route 20. It has a 3,200 foot runway and will accommodate turboprop and propeller driven aircraft of 12,500 pounds or less. The airport is equipped with an Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS III) to provide pilots with real-time weather data to promote safe operations. Available on the site is an aircraft refueling capability for both JET A and 100 Low Lead Octane aviation gasolines. During normal terminal hours full service fueling is available and off hours self service fueling capability is available. The County offers 10 T-hangars for lease and 19 paved and 17 grass tie-down spots to facilitate aircraft based at the airport. High speed wireless internet connectivity through public access computer or personal lap top computers is available at no charge. In 2004 Tracey Corporation built an additional 18 modern T-hangars for lease to private citizens and businesses. 33 aircraft are currently based at Orange Airport.
