"Lake Orange and Angler’s Landing"


A fisherman's paradise, Lake Orange became popular for producing the world record white bass of 6 pounds, 13 ounces in 1989. Access to the lake is off the main lake peninsula on the western side where the boat ramp, concession, fishing pier, parking lot, picnic faciliites and plenty of great shoreline access can be found. An access permit is required for anyone 17 years of age or older that does not possess a valid Virginia hunting, freshwater fishing, or trapping license, or a current Virginia boat registration. The cost for these access permits are $4 per day or $23 per year and can be purchased online at http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/licenses, by calling 1-866-721-6911 during business hours, or at any license agent.
