Event: Edible Food Fest in Orange

In conjunction with Edible Blue Ridge Magazine, the Orange Downtown Alliance presents the first "Edible Food Fest" in Orange. This festival will celebrate bringing food from earth to table. The keynote speaker will be third generation farmer Joel Salatin, a pioneer of environmentally concious agricultural practices and the "eat local" movement, who has made appearances in Omnivore’s Dilemma, Food Inc., and on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Featured chefs will be Joe Randall and Matthew Raiford. Renowned cook Edna Louis, whose seminal cookbook, The Taste of Country Cooking put American regional cuisine on the international culinary map for the first time, will be honored throughout the event, and the dining court will be named for her. Come out and join us for this premier festival and celebrate food, from earth to table.
